Smile 2014 GX 460 Lux

Hi all: Finally picking her up tomorrow. Lux with Mark Levinson, F Sport wheels, x-bars on top, tow receiver/hitch. Black Onyx w/ Ecru.

Coming out of a 2011 MDX Tech that I never really loved. Had two 4Runners before the Acura and I did indeed love both of them so this for me should be a 'Grail' vehicle.

I'll post a pic if anyone is interested, and I look forward to joining your esteemed ranks.

Nice color choice, same here. It will be a different feel from the MDX for sure.

Cargo room is so small when folding down 3rd row in MDX! The 3rd row can be flod down, but not flat to my view.

Congrats!!

I wish I had gotten ML too, the base system really is horrible in comparison.

I will take some pics tomorrow as it should be nice outside. I absolutely love the truck but strangely enough there isn't as much space as the MDX in places.

In the back for instance with the third seat down there is a little more height than MDX but you can't put anything beneath the cargo area where I used to keep quite a bit of stuff. There was also a hidden cargo spot in the front passenger seat area (MDX) and if you keep the whole manual in the glove box of GX forget about anything else in there.

The two door sections that come off on back door; the one obviously is tire tools and the other has a small first aid kit but it looks like it was meant for something else more specific since there are cut out shapes and straps. But as you know it's very slim so not sure about utilization.

It seems like I am going to end up with a backpack, road emergency kit, and blanket just sitting back there. When we travel I will go with the Yakima on the roof but for everyday use I would love it if someone has suggestions for making the most of available space,

I am not sure of the cargo changes from my 2003 MDX compared to the 2011 but I was surprised of the loss of space. Thus the recent posts you see here regarding gaining additional space by removing the 3rd row. I noticed depth and width was less compared to my MDX.

Thanks for the links and the photo. And please don't get me wrong I love this truck, it's not even close and I don't want to come off as a nitpicker, I just didn't recall ever thinking my 4Runners didn't have enough room.

Rest assured I will come up with something(s) to maximize space as I plan on keeping this truck for a long time. I'm also thinking of doing something to add an outlet and/or usb for folks in 2nd row.
