Considering purchasing a CPO 2010 GX460, need your advice...
Hey guys,
Haven't been on CL in FOREVER partly because I gave up tunning my GS some time ago. Anyways time has come for me to purchase a new ride and I'm highly considering a CPO 2010 GX460 with about 50k miles on it.
So heres my question... My siblings and I purchased my parents a 2013 GX460 last year and I've driven it around quite a bit. It's a solid car and I really like it, thats why i'm considering purchasing a 2010 gx460.
So I'd like to ask the CL community...can you guys share what changes were made from 2010 to 2013 on the GX460?
Thanks in advance guys!

The one thing I can think of in 2012, they put the outside temp. display on the dash. On my 2010, you had to push the climate button for the readout. They also made the side moldings standard on the base model I think starting in 2012? Someone might correct me, but I think that's correct. I had the premium model on my 2010.

Like folks have said, the GX hasn't changed much except for some chrome and wheels besides the interior systems/upgraded NAV, etc... technically they are all the same with KDSS standard, V8, etc...all depends on the model category you buy what standard features you get.
Good luck!

We went out of factory warranty in February and purchased an extended warranty as our GX is a 'keeper'. We've owned it longer than any recent vehicle and certainly longer than the other nine Lexus, each of which was great, but not as great as our GX.
As you already are familiar with the GX you know what you are buying and you should expect a similar good experience.

I have a 2010 Base with a lot of options. It is rock solid at 34K miles. I plan on keeping it at least 4 more years, like SaniDel, I purchased an extended guarantee, but don't expect to need it much.

Trivial but 2011 got the conversation mirror (I think it is called that) in the overhead sun glass compartment and lost the LEXUS emblem on the rear gate.

I suspect the changes from 2010 to 2011 to 2012 to 2013 were so trivial as to be unnoticeable other than by connoisseurs such as those on this forum. The major design change occurred when the GX 470 was replaced by the GX 460 in 2010 and a minor design change occurred when the GX 460 was "face-lifted" in 2014.
