i dont know what is so special about "CPO". If i want to sell a car myself, i would, and i too should be able say CPO on it. I have all record, its well kept, and the buyer knows where its coming from.

CPO is certified pre owned and has a 3 year 100,000 mile warranty.

Me personally, I don't think a CPO is a big deal. As Craig said, you get a 3 year / 100k warranty and they make sure certain things are up to spec before the car is sold (e.g. brakes, tires, etc.) but you pay for it because they are typically more expensive than a non-CPO'd car or private sale. If I buy used I try and find one that is still in the 4 year / 50k original warranty because the original warranty covers pretty much everything vs. the CPO or extended warranty and I get all the little things fixed under that and then buy the Lexus extended warranty before the original warranty is up. Personally, I would rather buy from a person that knows and takes care of their car versus one where I don't how the previous owner took care of it but it is tough to find the former and I usually buy the latter.
In the OP's case, to me there is zero benefit to a CPO car if it is that new.
