They quoted ~$10K for (all original) parts and $1.5K for labour. It is unclear if/when somebody will do this in US. It took Sewell forever to figure out how to do this for LX.

If I were unfortunate enough to get in to a front end collision I would do that upgrade but I wouldn't do it just to do it.

It can't be 11.5k? If I was that desperate to get the spindle grill. I'd pocket the 11.5k, sell my vehicle and get a 2014 with everything else brand new. Plus, you know everything is warranted at the factory.

Remember that GX is 40% more expensive in Russia than in NA so numbers work a little bit different. I agree that that would be a hard sell/no-go in NA.

I already did calculations for this.
the cost to buy new one is LESS than the cost to upgrade when you factor everything in the end...
not worth it.
just buy a 2014

I figured that people with spindle grilles were trying to go back to the 2010-2013 look as the spindle is so horrifying (LOL)

It may be worth it, if a body shop buys your front end to fix a wrecked car, then you pay for the parts for the spindle front end, plus the installation.

Of course, that only does the front -end.

well when you go to sell your gx with its updated front end, you will not recoup much of that cost

lets not forget rear tailights - another 600 +rear bumper.
