Default Reading VIN through Windshield

I just had my windshield replaced due to a rock chip that lead to a crack getting longer by the day. That said, I thought the VIN was more readable before the replacement but can't remember. Can anyone else check their windshield vin and see if it looks the same as mine below? This is on a 2021 if that helps. That aside, our other vehicle has a nice white/black contrast with a QR code that can be scanned to read it. I'm aware that the VIN can be read from inside the door jam but didn't realize the windshield VIN was so difficult to read unless getting creative with a flashlight/camera.

fyi you dont want it readable anyways. a thief can take the vin and program a remote and there goes your ride.

Both of my lexus windshield VIN read like that. It is intentional. Both of my Toyotas read clear.

Got it and verified the same at the dealer with other 2nd Gen GXs. That said, I found this interesting: VIN requirements

The VIN for passenger cars, multipurpose passenger vehicles, low speed vehicles, and trucks of 4536 kg or less GVWR shall be located inside the passenger compartment. It shall be readable, without moving any part of the vehicle, through the vehicle glazing under daylight lighting conditions by an observer having 20/20 vision (Snellen) whose eye-point is located outside the vehicle adjacent to the left windshield pillar. Each character in the VIN subject to this paragraph shall have a minimum height of 4 mm

I guess the readable part is left to interpretation but either way I just wanted to validate the display of the VIN was the same before/after the windshield replacement.

keep in mind that most of these requirements are for importers and manufacturers, not the normal auto owner.
The normal auto owner will be most affected by state and localized requirements.
