It has nothing to do with the culture or attitude towards work in a non-union plant owned by a completely different manufacturer 800 miles away no. The actions of 13 people in Detroit and the decision to reinstate them (which was forced by the UAW by the way, that wouldn't happen in a non-union plant...they'd stay fired) is absolutely not reflective of the work ethic or abilities of our entire country...no.

The JNAP plant has issues, I agree with you. All of their production problems aren't because of those 13 people smoking pot I promise you. Poor lighting, poor conditions, poor QC and oversight, oil equipment, and UAW control pay a huge part. The BMW plant has none of those problems...

By your logic:

http://www.cnn.com/2013/08/15/tech/canada-tweet-weed/

Facing another boring day at work, a Toronto car repair shop worker decided some weed would be just the thing to make the day fly by.
Instead of reaching out by phone or walking to his friendly neighborhood drug dealer, the user, using the handle @Sunith_DB8R, tweeted that he needed a joint delivered to his workplace in Vaughan, just north of Toronto.
So...whatever you do DO NOT have your car repaired by a Canadian mechanic. He's high...they all are. With a culture and attitude towards work like that how could you trust any car can be repaired in Canada?

I traded my 2005 X5 for my 2014 GX. I love the GX.

The X5 was in the shop way too much.

Finally Saturday after one week negotiation over the phone with Ray Catana in NJ I pick up my new 14' GX base with navigation, blk/blk. msrp 52500. lease for 33 months $2k out of my pocket
$580/month ,
so far I have 300 miles on the clock and love quiet interior with V8 engine and ease to use navigation, smooth ride on bumpie NYC streets,on 18' wheels with Michelin tires
08' X5 or 14'GX ? I can't compare those two , bout of them well done ; we can compare 14 X5 vs 14GX , on secend day I try to turn On fog lights ...., wtf where's fog light's swich?
Then I come out side and relilize base model don't have fog lights ( always have then On
