I just requested online quotes for my
2014 GX 460
Claret Mica w/ Ecru (#1 choice)
Black Onyx w/Ecru ( 2nd choice)
Comfort Package
Trailer Tow Hitch
Exhaust Tip

$56,503 MSRP

Dealer #1 $54,025
Dealer #2 $52,325
Dealer #3 $53,320
all exclude tt&l

Rockville dealer was a no-show. Odd since they are about 25 miles from us.

I met with a salesman at Pohanka last week (closest dealership) who said to get a few offers and he would beat the lowest which is funny because their quote was the highest. He is on vacation this week so I suspect he will be in need of some sales before the end of the month to make his quota. I also contacted another salesman at the next closest dealer asking him to do better mentioning that he came highly recommended from a couple other buyers. May also contact the Rockville location and ask why they don't want to sell me a vehicle. My phone and email has been blowing up all day now.

I'm surprised you could order a 2014 this late in the model year. Good luck with it!

I was surprised as well. I thought about waiting for the 2015 but that would only bring a higher price tag and nothing new I had to have. I plan to keep this one about 10 yrs so the difference between a 2014 and 2015 would not be much come time to trade/sell.
I still have a small chance they will find one available sooner at another dealership and can trade for it.
I would have ordered or bought this spring had not the pool decide this was the year everything would need to be replaced ie: heater, lighting system and pump motor taking a large chunk of my down payment. I'm a girl on a budget and very thankful for this thread.

$54,000 is too much IMO. Are they the only dealer you are willing to visit? Tell them $53,000 or no deal. Be firm! Chin up chest out! It's the end of the season and new cars will be coming out soon. They will want to sell older stock. Don't even let them think you will settle for the base if you can't get the one you want for your price.
Have you tried requesting quotes from www.truecar.com ? Read this whole thread if you have not already. I got some very good advice and got the GX I wanted for a very reasonable price. Of course in my area I have about 6 dealerships within 100 miles.

$53K is max deal, and they are still making almost $800 over invoice plus 2% retainers and whatever their dealer fee is above the price.

There are 4 dealers I am willing to drive too. However, we are very particular with getting a white one. They are 2 dealers that stock a white ones. One of which is a BASE model (no nav)

All negotiating has been over email. I told them that if we can not do 53000, then I am going to work with the other dealer. (even attached the build sheet of the BASE from the other dealer)

I feel like if I drive down to the dealer, I can weasel 53000 out of them in person.

I will look into truecar.com

Thanks for the help!

Wow. I thought 52000 was right around where invoice really was. I even told him that I think invoice is 52000. He said it was around 54000, but will check for sure.

I will tell 53000 or no deal and go pay for invoice on a base model (47000ish)

Fancy-

Mine is similarly equipped and I paid just a few hundred over $52k....and that's with a $610 advertising fee(aka TDA). If you go back several pages, a lot of us paid around $52k for similarly equipped GXs. And have that salesman email you the build sheet or invoice paperwork.

The '15s are coming out in a few months. There's no reason to pay over invoice unless you are desperately in need of a vehicle. Good luck and keep us updated.
