Default sunglass holder

Stupid question, how do I convert the baby mirror to the sun glass holder.

Gently pull down. The holder is behind the mirror.

I tried putting my sunglasses behind that mirror thing and it's a tight fit, I'm afraid I'll scratch my sunglasses putting them in and taking them out.

I have never been able to fit any sunglasses in these compartments on any cars I have had.

The holder can come down pretty far, just pull it down.

I did, basically so it hangs straight down. It's at the dealer today getting a clear bra installed and they gave me a ES to drive, plenty of room in the sunglasses holder in that car. It seem the fake mirror takes up a lot of space. Oh well, life goes on.

Pull the holder all the way down and put the sunglasses in the holder with the glass lenses facing toward the windshield, holding them by their crossed temple pieces. When you close the holder, the glasses will rest on a padded material that won't scratch the lenses ... assuming they are made of glass rather than plastic ... all bets are off with plastic sunglasses!

My sunglasses live in the GX sunglass holder except when we are riding, which is daily so they go in and out of the holder at least once per day.
Regards,

SaniDel

P.S. Totally off-topic ... if you need a source for high quality, custom-made in America GLASS sunglasses try Randolf Engineering:

http://www.randolphusa.com

Randolf Engineering makes sunglasses like what Ray-Ban used to make before Ray-Ban got bought and sold so many times that it is now just a brand and not a product, sort of like RCA and Zenith.

Yes, thats works better, still not as easy as others I have used in the past but it works. I may smooth out the tabs that make it stop for the mirror setting so it opens and drops all the way down, hmmm....

It's not a fake mirror, it is a fish-eye mirror to see passenger (especially children) in the vehicle.

I have both glass and acrylic Maui's and both don't fit unless I cram them in there so I don't even bother.

I still say fake mirror, I don't have kids and I don't want to see my rear passengers when I am driving, fake mirror! Hahaha.....

Mine are glass, and yeah, it's tight but they go in now that I know what I'm doing, kinda.
