Base Stereo System
Regarding the Stereo in the 2011 Base model: Anyone know any of the "particulars" of the system such as total output or RMS? Thanks in advance.

I don't know the answer but I don't like the Base Stereo System. I think it sucks. I would think the "particulars" may lie in the owner's manual. Check it if you own a GX460 - I can check my manual to see what it is, kind of curious myself.
I also have a question that may pertain to the Premium models as well. Any way to see entire texts of songs or albums of songs that are playing because I only see the words that are cut-off when i play music either through radio or cd. I would assume that my base sound system should at least have a scrolling mechanism so we can see who and what's playing.

I have to disagree on the sound quality issue. I am very pleased with the sound of the base system. While you won't be punched by low frequencies, the sound is very dynamic with excellent stereo separation and range.

^ i completely agree. Sound quality is BEST compared with a CD. you know that round thing that we used to buy..
the Satellite radio/FM/AM is too limited to really get the register that you want for the high, mid and the low.

I guess I have yet to fully test out the system. My first assumptions might be premature. I do a lot of listening on the AM dial and Satellite radio and 1970ish ska, and these were not to my satisfaction.
let me test it out on some newer music.

Just a follow up to my previous point.. SOURCE is a huge factor on how good a sound system is.
Remember that FM/AM/MP3 music are so compressed that they may be ok for portable devices like an ipod or a stereo but NOT when you want to have an " orchestra" like experience in your living room or inside your car.
Record/transfer your songs to higher bit rate if you want that.. or other format like FLAC ( Free Lossless Audio Codec)
