Has anyone put a cover on the spare tire? I am afraid it is going to be in bad shape after a few years, esp. in the regions with harsh winters.
Sunlight is the big killer, no need for a cover. You could drop the tire down once a year and wipe it down with a good protectant (like 303). Also fill the spare to the max pressure rating (I think it is 51 psi).
Thanks, Koz. I guess you meant the tire. I was thinking more of the rim as a backup if I damage one (I did that to almost every car I owned). I was wondering if a cover will protect the "spare rim" .
