What is This Next to the Foot Rest and Under the Parking Brake?
It looks like a bolt with an unusual three-hole pattern for tightening, but it is not tight. I was able to wiggle it with my finger, although the clearance is so tight that I could not get two fingers on it to turn it. May I ask that other GX 460 owners confirm if it is loose on their vehicles?
I presume it is anchoring the panel next to the foot rest to the floor, but why the strange pattern. Could that be just a plastic cap that covers a regular hexagonal bolt head? If so, maybe the bolt underneath is tight and I'm feeling movement in the plastic cap, which isn't a problem, but I would appreciate hearing your advice.

I found exactly the same bolt-and-cover on the passenger side, also anchoring the panel to the floor. This must be how Lexus 'dresses' their exposed bolt heads. Perhaps the three holes in the plastic cover are designed for a proprietary Lexus-only tool to discourage us from disassembling our vehicles.
