I guess your dealer did not order any with the crossbars, so he would prefer you take a GX without them.

If you can't get them through your dealer, you may be able to order them through Sewell.

Crossbars

I called and they can order the crossbars...they were "surprised" I asked for them. Anyway, at least that puts the option back on the table. That is the problem with small markets...I miss living in a large metroplex with several dealers to choose from without a 2/3 hour drive.

I laughed when I saw the hitch basket suggestion because we have one of those as well. It is a super suggestion if you do not need to harness every possible nook and crannie for space. We look like the darn clampett's when we travel because of all of the kids stuff! I wish the hitch basket were able to hold all of our stuff because I can put ours on by itself. Because we travel with the dogs, we have no space in the back at all to put everything so we need the top and rear.
