I find the v-LEDs to be on par with the Putco. The v-LED bulbs are very durable and the light output is excellent.

Here is a photo that shows the 6K v-LED light in the door with the Putco running board lights.

For some reason... it looks like yellow bulbs will look better on the door panel LOL

I installed my Putco running board lights before I received the v-LED lights for the door.

The yellow looked really out of place.

Once you get your bulbs you can install the running board first, but my guess is you won't want to keep the yellow light in the door.

I think I will, cause it looks like yellow light will match the panel better than white one from the photo maybe I will get a yellow LED

Which panel are you referring to? The illuminated door sill is a white LED from the factory. You should have the same.

Can you post a photo with your front door open like the picture I posted?

I didn't do anything to the car yet, I mean the small light panel under the arm rest, it seems yellow light will give a better matching to the car, just my feeling haha

I don't see any light under the arm rest. Where is it? Are you talking about center consol arm rest or door where door handles are?

how are these leds holding up? ive read on other forums they burn out quickly. I personally prefer luxeon or phillips based leds.
Also, why are these not being used with led drivers (i assume thats why they are burning out)? I have a set of philips led drl's and they come with led drivers.

I didin't even know that Philips makes automotive LEDs. I have been using LEDs for over a year in this and previous car. I have zero problems, but I buy only from reputable sellers like v-leds. If you buy from Ebay, you will get what you pay for. Spend more and get quality & customer service.

I assume you have drivers for your DRL since they run at a lower power and the driver is needed to provide a full power. V-leds sell something similar.

Can you post link to your Philips LED solution? I didn't do anything to DRL yet and may try your solution.

Currently on my GX460 I have:
Dome lights (need 3 sets)

Door and puddle lights (need 4 sets)

Parking lights (need 1 set)

Reverse lights (need 1 set)

Load resistors to avoid hyperflash for LED turn signals

Hid Conversion kit

can v leds comment on where they get there leds from? are they philips or cree based or some other led manufacturer?
Philips makes drls using their luxeon leds (yes they make the leds). Cree also makes leds. These are the main manufacturers for leds that i know of.
Here is link to philips - this is kit i have
http://www.lighting.philips.com/in_e...ghting&lang=en

this was bot for my 4runner which i thought was buying but then decided on the gx. If gx has separate drls, you could splice wire and connect these babies to it. (are the drls the high beam on low power?)

If you are interested in led drls, hella also makes some cool ones. The cheapies on ebay suck imho

I have seen those from Philips, but those will not work as plug and play application I am looking for. They don't have anything I can find for current application (convert current lights) for factory look. I don't know who makes LEDs for v-leds, but you can e-mail them on the web site. Quality is very good and so far so good.
