HAC question
Hi everyone!
Long time reader. Finally pulled the trigger and got 2010 GX 460, silver with black interior.
What a beauty! Some of the main selling points to get GX were:
- bluetooth
- folding 3rd row, previous model turned me off because of that.
- adjustable 2nd row, meaning you can slide it back and forth
- HAC (Hill-Start Assist Control)
However, can't find much info on how HAC works According to my salesman I have to press the brakes harder and it will engage.
It works fine on steep hill, but on a tiny one before I roll out of day care center it constantly rolls back until I press the brakes for the second time.
Owners manual doesn't help in that department. Lexus site either.
Can someone tell me more about it.
Thanx!

I tired it on my drive way today after I got my car, u will hear some noise coming from the pedal and the traction light will flashing, I ask my our product specialist he said the hill start will automatic engage after your feet move away from the brake, but it will only engage for seconds, if you don't apply gas it will still roll backward ~_~"

Was playing with it as well. Same thing as you described.
When we tested RX we were told that if you apply the brake pedal harder it will hold the RX until you apply gas.
Truly was expecting the same thing here.
Congrats on your truck ybing and thanks for replies and info.
