It blows whatever air is around it. The salesman told me most people in the summer set the A/C switch to the bi-level mode so cold air is blowing under the seats. This way the blowers pick up the cold air. Air movemnet is better than no air movement. I live in AZ so I can't wait to see how this works out.

I picked up mine today. My gx460 is base with Nav. white color and ivory interior. interior is very handsome with leathertrim. so far I like everything. handling is very nice for truck.( I drove BMW 5 series and Lexus GS350). I didn't get premium because it will not add up for my future trade in for this car. ride Qulity is similar to GL and better than Range Rover sport. I also prefer mine than X5. comparing to audi Q7. GX460 is far better. The appreace of this suv has a strong presence on the road too.
When I made on the deal for GX460, I was going to buy LX 570 However sales persons recommand me test drive GX460, After that, I was sold. buy this one if you are in themarket for family suv. I testdrove BMW X5, X6, MB GL 450, AUDI Q7 and RangeRover Sports.

Had mine since Monday. Silver/black prem - RES/Remote Start/Glass Sensors. Came from a GS450h - getting 22 MHT Brushed aluminum/outers chromed in about 4 weeks. I love the truck. Much better than the previous model. They have done a great job on this truck, it just needs wheels. I will post pics after wheels get put on, but I love it.

I have a 2012 GX 460 with 9000 miles . It has been a joy , rides and drives great . MPG 14-18 . My only complaint is the the Ecru interior and blue jean stains . I have been searching for a cover for just the bottom of seat to keep it from getting worse . i am constantly cleaning ,conditioning the seat for blue jean stains.
Does anyone have the answer other than towel , anyone know of a seat cover for bottom only?

That is one of the reasons I got the sepia interior (dark brown) on my GX460, the ecru was too light and with my previous GX470 and my current LS600, the blue from my jeans would always run on to the leather and I was constantly cleaning and conditioning. Even with the sepia color, I still have to clean the leather because I still see blue, just not as much. A cover as shown above looks like it would work perfect.

The BEST advise I can give you is; do what I do, only buy vehicles with black interiors. A little conditioner and they look great for the life of the vehicle!
