I have had my GX for about 2 weeks and I am testing out all of the features. The paint is flawless, I have been looking at the paint at every angle and I have not seen any flaws or chips. The color is deep and beautiful. All of he electronics in the car work and they do not hesitate. The DVD player is flawless and the interior features are solid and consistent. The ride is good but the brakes have a vibration that I will address with the dealership. Overall, I am very impressed.

Test drove a GX 460 yesterday and completly forgot to check out the number of 12V outlets up front. Did a search and no results showed up. Could someone chime in on this.

By the way, it was a base model.

My premium has only one 12V outlet up front...

I would disagree with the part "All of he electronics in the car work and they do not hesitate". They work alright but i would disagree with the lack of hesitation comment.

There is definitely a delay with the HDD seek when inputing addresses into the Nav and inputing other data. it could be much faster if they used flash memory instead of a spinning disk.

It's a good system and i'm especially impressed with the updated USB interface / capabilities. makes me wonder why they bothered with a bulky 6-disc changer.

Ouch. Contact Sewell. Their prices are typically below retail to begin with, plus there is an additional discount for ClubLexus Members. Example: grille on my LX retails for north of $320, and ClubLexus price at Sewell is in the low $200s, so it's worth checking to see what their price is.

iPhone, iPod Touch or Android device might be able to be programmed for the DVD remote.

Hello all, does anyone on here own a 2010 or 2011 gx460 in the claret mica? The color seems nice online, but they do not have any in that color at my local dealership . Would anyone be able to post pics of their vehicle?
Thanks,

Luvlexus16

Just started looking at SUV's and was wondering how everyone is enjoying them? For those that upgraded from the previous model would you do it again? I was thinking of X5 as well until the battery comment

I just got my GX460 this past week and am coming from a 2008 GX470. I am still not sold on the looks of this truck but I have to say it drives and handles much better and it has way more features than the old GX. The seats are more comfortable too and I like the arm rests on the door and center console better. The only negative as far as the interior is cargo area is smaller because the seats are now in the floor.

I know this thread is old...been several yearz since I last visited the forums.

I do not like the looks of the GX460. It looks (to me) like they took a blowtorch to the GX470 and melted the exterior, melting the fenders and other features off. yuk...I plan to purchase a last phase 2009 GX470, instead of the 460.

I have always loved the exterior looks of the GX470 with its protruding fenders and wide back bumper. I thought that they would never change the looks of so popular a vehicle...six years with little change must mean something!!!
