New GX460!

I don't believe Lexus told dealers not to discount the GX. They're in short supply now and prices will come down around March when supply meets demand. I've driven several RX's and they're a Cougars vehicle in my opinion. I agree, if everyone liked the same thing, we wouldn't have choices...

I have driven quite a few RX's while mine has been at the dealer and IMO the RX is for "Wives & Widows".
I want an SUV that can tow atleast 5k, has adequate ground clearance, and full time 4 wheel drive. The GX does a pretty good job in all of the above. The RX goes 1/3 at best

Just closed on the new GX460. MSRP 63371.00. Payed 59100.00. Will take have the car next week. Was concidering the X5 d but needed a car I can park at the airport for 10 days and know it will start. Not the greatest deal but you can get discounts.

BMW says if you don't drive it on the highway, the battery won't charge with just city driving. I didn't know that when I purchased mine.

I have been reading your posts on the X5 forums and that is one of the reasons I decided to stick with the GX. I did love the power and handling of the X5. I am going to try to get te 3rd row seats out of the GX so there will be some under floor storage. Will report on that project. Thank for all your information on the X5. George

We have to tell multiple customers why their battery keeps dying on their 07/08 80,000 BMWS and they dont like the answer--not Driving it enough! and then recommend installing a trickle charger so they plug in every night--they love that.
True----but very few come in with valid problems that one of the cars 50-80 computers are not going "to Sleep" and draining the battery overnight.

I agree X5D very nice vehicle-but the reliability of any BMW is Horrid after about 4 years or even less on some models--I would say the 3 series is their most reliable car period!
