How many are waiting to buy the 2010 model?
We are all waiting to see the new redesigned GX 470 due out later this year. I know that I'm curious. How many of you are waiting to buy and how many will wait for it to be out a year or two before investing?
I would love it if they changed out the rear door to a power assist lift hatch like the one on the RX. When my truck was in the shop two weeks ago Lexus gave us the new 2010 RX 350 to drive. Very nice but too small for what I need.

I'll probably get the GX once it is available, if the price is doesn't cost a lot more than the 2009 model. My current ES is leaking, and I don't think it can survive another winter.

I'm waiting to see what it looks like and the price. I couldn't wait any longer and purchased a 2009 BMW X5 twin turbo diesel. I still have my LS 460. I've heard it will be a shorter version of the LX 570. I don't know what size V8 it will have. The BMW drives great, but isn't as reliable as a Lexus. If it doesn't have HID headlights, I doubt I will purchase one.

I second that, every $50k+ vehicle should have HIDs. No excuse.

Lexus just came out with an excuse for not having them on their trucks saying that the ride height was too high to add the xenon headlight fearing that it would be too much light shining into oncoming traffic and for the cars ahead of their trucks. frankly, i don't see how this is a problem, when mercedes, cadillac, audi, and even some of the big ford f450 trucks have them.

Lexus doesn't add many features year to year - they seem to save them up for new models.
* How long did the LX go without dual climate control?
* The GX changed once - with the bigger motor in '05
* The 2nd gen GS changed once - with the bigger motor in '01 or '02
* The current gen IS hasn't changed since its introduction four model years ago
* Etc, etc, etc
As for xenons / HIDs on the GX and LX, the "story" I got was that they're too fragile for offroad vehicles. Bah humbug.

...and we all know that people that own these mall cruiser suv's actually take their suv's off-road every weekend, right?
Toyota/Lexus, if you're listening. Instead of giving people a reason NOT to buy your trucks like putting HID/xenon headlights on your trucks, put them on and give people another reason to buy these wonderful trucks so they don't go extinct.
