hey guys.... just picked up my GX in silver pine/charcoal.... so far ive noticed the slight vibration prob @ around 2K rpm when accelerating & its no biggie BUT whats REALLY bothering me is this weird noise thats coming from above that i cant seem to figure out?!?!!? its almost like a sound leak or something coming from the sunroof.... not sure how to fix it, if a wind-deflector will solve this prob or not..... is anyone else experiencing this howling effect?? TIA

Nothing here. Sunroof is quiet when closed.

When open, I open a window in the back to stop the pressure "thump".

I thought the same thing with the sunroof when I first had my GX. It turned out that I had it opened slightly in the tilt-up position (not the slide-open) and had closed the interior portion.

Just make sure that it is closed. Most likely, if you hear noise it is still open since my GX is dead quiet inside.

i did check everything and still no solution..... its sorta like a howling noise thats coming from the roof-line or something, not sure if maybe theres a leak in the seal and somehow wind is sneaking in?? im going to wait until my next service to see if lexus can check things out for me.... thx for your replies guys!!

Try this, open the sunroof all the way. Then close it by pressing the close button for a second or two so the auto close will function. Then see if there is any noise.
