Lost power due to bad alternator..dealer replaced alternator and reset codes and lights. Next day VSC Track light and engine light came on. Told that I need a new catalytic converter. Makes no sense. Any ideas. This is. GX470 2007.

What's the code and how many miles do you have? It's possible it's a legitimate code.

This could be random but when did you last change your gas lid, I had similar lights and 13$ laters it's all fixed.

Disconnect your battery for an hour or more and see if the lights go away 1st. It’s a good idea to learn to scan your own codes and look them up. Then look up corrective actions.
