Default 2004 GX wheel/tire upgrade

Finally got the Tundra wheels back from powder coating. Took them immediately to get BF Goodrich ATs put on, 285/70/17. Bought some black lug as well. Have to get some tint next.

I am trying to paste in the the URL where I have these photos hosted, can anyone tell me why they won't show up?

I'd rather insert the link than add attachments...

You have any lift? I'm trying to decide on tire size.

I do not. I might put on a leveling kit up front later, but in the above photo, that is stock, no lift. Haven't driven it yet, haha, so I won't know how the rubbing goes. From everything I have heard and read, it's nothing a utility blade can't fix.

So how bad did it rub? I'm thinking pretty severely when you turn?

My 255/75R17's did at stock height, so I'm sure those will rub significantly.

The 285/70/17 did rub a good bit. I removed the running boards a few weeks ago, and this weekend trimmed up the front inner fenders. No rubbing at all now. It's awesome.

Can you please post a photo of your Macgyver modifications so we can see how that came out?

255/75R17's on 17x8 0mm wheels at stock height. I still rub a little on the driver's side if the suspension is compressed at all (i.e. braking while turning):

Here is my trim job. For the rear of the fender, I used a pneumatic cutting wheel, front of the fender was a utility blade. No rubbing whatsoever now.

Also hit a little milestone yesterday...181k
