I just got a recall letter of 03 - 06 Gx470 last week. Just wondering if anyone here get it done already? How long do we have to wait for the part ? Thanks !

Parts are available, but I'm not sure in what quantity (you might could get it done right away, you might have to wait). Contact your dealer and ask for this recall to be performed.

They will have to remove the center console to get to it, so think about emptying your storage bins before dropping it off.

Dealers should have the part in stock now. I received the follow up letter from Lexus a couple of weeks ago letter that said the fix/parts were now available. Called the dealer to confirm they had the sensor in stock and dropped by the next day to get it fixed. Took about 2 hours while I waited.

I did mine on monday and got on the waiting list for the cracked dashboard as well ( 30 to 60 days waiting). I didn't get my letter until 2 days later. I didn't make an appointment either, just drove in.

Thank you Chiph9 for letting me know this in details. I will call the Dealer tomorrow to bring my truck in to get this done.

I was at the dealer a few months ago, they ran my VIN and said my GX wasn't part of the recall. Is this something more current?

Are you registered at the Lexus driver's site, so they know you own one?

Did mine last week. Dealer had the parts and it took about an hour.

Called this AM - Carlsbad Lexus. They have the parts and are scheduling repairs. Mine is going in the 23rd, and they will provide a loaner.

Stopped by at Rockford Lexus in the morning and they will call back when the parts is ready

The mail I got It only says for 03-06. You can call the Lexus dealer to make sure if it is effected to 07-09 ?

Dropped the truck at the dealer in the morning and got an Nx 200t F sport as a loaner. It is a nice small SUV but I do not like Turbo engine at all. Our truck v8 aspirated engine is still a win win. Came back 2 hours later to get the truck with a full tank of gas and got it washed clean by the dealer.

We just had ours done last week as well. They filled our talk also.Was very surprised as we brought it in at less than half a tank.
