Check the connection of the air conditioner msg but everything works!

I have been receiving the following message on my navigation screen when attempting to change the AC controls: "Check the Connection to the Air Conditioner". All other functions on the navigation screen work and the message sometimes comes and goes. I can still control the AC with the buttons below the navigation screen but it makes it difficult to fine tune some of the settings. Does anyone know the source of this issue?
