Default Squeaking noise on my 2004 GX470

I recently purchased a 2004 GX470 with 177k, and outside of the clunk noise there is a lot of squeaking noise when driving. I had it at the local Lexus dealer and they messed around for about an hour and could not figure it out. Anybody have this issue? Bushings worn out? Seats?

Please help as this is so annoying. I have had a 1992 SC300, 2000 GS300, and now also have a 2006 GS300 AWD and they were all super quiet on the road.

A little better description may help. Squeaking inside the car or outside? Front? Rear? Up top or under? Cruising? Braking? Turning? Etc....

When going over bumps and regular driving, it sounds like a squeaking noise right around the rear seat area, regardless if people are sitting back there or not. Someone said it may be a clip u set the car causing this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had a squeak/rattle in mine that was in the same area. I ended up having to wrap the anchors that the rear seats clip into with felt tape. Try folding them up and see if the noise goes away.

Good tip. I have the exact same issue. Has been driving me crazy but haven't had time to look into it. I thought it was the third row seats moving around.

So I was able to finally get this squeaking noise fixed, i tried everything from wrapping seat anchors with felt tape to oiling everything in sight but my local Lexus dealer found it to be these metal clips underneath the frame of the car rubbing against the body. It was in the area of the rear seats, between the frame and the body, pretty much under the rear seats is where the sound was coming from . Once the tech adjusted these metal clips, all good and quiet now.

Thanks for the update. Does your invoice say exactly what these are called? Just to help anyone else out that might have this issue in the future

Here is what the Lexus invoice states..."Tech found the rear A/C line was touching the chassis. Re-adjusted the line and test drove the vehicle to confirm. No issue found after fix."

My service adviser texted me yesterday and said it was a couple of clips rubbing on the frame, maybe my service adviser meant the clips that hold the A/C line.

I'm guessing A/C stands for air compressor instead of air conditioner

Not sure as there is rear air conditioning controls on these SUV's. That is how they wrote it up. All I know is one of the most annoying noises I have ever encountered in a car is GONE! :-)
