I want to say thank you to everyone who has contributed to this forum. Two weeks ago I purchased a 2003 GX with 120k miles. The original owner traded it for a new Lexus and the dealer had all the service records since it was new. From the many hours I spent surfing the info posted here before I bought it, I knew what to look for. The GX is in excellent condition but as expected had leaky air springs and blown ML speakers. I'm guessing those two issues finally drove the original owner to trade it since he probably went into shock when the dealer gave him estimates for the repairs. Thanks to the great posts on correcting these problems I was able to do the repairs myself for under $400 for two OEM springs and three Simply Speakers foam repair kits. I am totally impressed with the GX and it makes me smile every time I drive it! We're taking off on a trip to Zion and the Grand Canyon in a couple of days.
