Default What is this brake noise?

Hi, I'm new to being an actual member on forum and am hoping I can get some help. I've attached a video of the noise my brakes are making and am not sure what exactly it is.

Let me also say that I've used many different tips from you guys over the last few years, so thanks.

Here's the video:

I have a similar noise and can confirm it is not worn down brake pads since they are new pads. I took the pads off to see if anything was scraping the rotor but did not see anything. I have been driving like this for 10K miles now and it still makes the noise. I want to know what that is as well so I can get take care of it.

So it's coming from this (see pic, cylinder with yellow sticker wrapped). I think it's the ABS pump, but you can't just replace that, you have to replace the entire unit. Anyone have experience with this? It brakes fine, it just make that "vibrating vacuum" noise.

That's the brake booster. The GX doesn't use vacuum-assisted brakes, it uses this pump instead. If it fails, you will need to apply serious muscle power to the pedal to stop.

Unfortunately, it's a $1100 part. #47960A

Have you ever figured out and fixed the noise issue?

yeah, it was the whole brake master cylinder assembly. The part brand-new was like $1700. I took a chance and ordered a remanufactured one off eBay for like $800. I sent them my old one and they gave me a $225 credit. Totally worth it the noise is gone and all is well.

once replaced, did it require a Techstream to bleed the system?

Thank you. This is very helpful info. I got the exact same sound on my vehicle recently and in the process to troubleshoot it.

I paid a guy $400 to install it which to my knowledge required him to completely replace the fluid.
