Okay, I'm getting itchy... If I wanted to jump on 255/75R17 Duratracs, would they rub? AND, would I be unhappy without spacers? I am working Discount Tire over for a match situation, and I can get them to match online and just pay for the install ($64). In total, I can get some 265/70R17 AT3s -- a good Cooper all-season that looks much better than stock, and is really quiet for the most part -- for like $550 out the door. I can also get Duratracs (255/75R17s) for $173 each and a total of $756 out the door.

The Coopers, I think, are a steal at $550. I'll sell the Laredos that came on the car for $250 or so (15-20K on a 60K tire), and eat the $300 for looks and new rubber. But, I wanted to throw it out to the group... Would you push for the Duratracs? I worry rubbing may kill me...and (understanding I changed my mind from a previous post), I would think the noise would increase substantially and drive me nuts. I drive on the highway a lot.

Thoughts?...

Itch. Scratched. 265/70R17 AT3s for $592 out the door. I got discount tire to match online pricing ($123 each), waive the TPMS rebuild cost, and only charge me for mount and balance of $16 per tire. Hard to beat for a good looking 55k tire.

Next step : RB removal. Following: por15 and plastics on the underside.

Looks great. I am running the coopers, they ride great, softer than others, and not much highway noise. I would recommend them to everyone especially when they go on sale.
