05 gx470 a/c cycling
Hi!
A/c wasn't as cold as I remembered this year. I added just a little of some old frion i had and no difference. Bought a new can w gauge, which showed below range. Filled to range and compressor/fan would cycle on for 3 seconds and off for 3 seconds. Thinking the Guage was at fault, I took out some Frion and it worked. After about 20 minutes of driving it would start cycling on/off but for longer periods...the vent temp would get warm for several minutes and the come back to a decent temp for a few minutes. Before i go diving into issues (checking sensors, flushing frion) I hoped someone had seen this problem and knew how to fixed it.
Thank You!

Some cycling is normal, so that the expansion valve, etc. don't ice up. But I agree - double check the pressures.
