GX470 manifold exhaust leak
Hi everyone,
My 05 Gx has the infamous manifold exhaust leak on the driver side. I'm planing to change it myself I don't think it should be that tough. I have seen multiple after market one online price range $250-600. Anyone had to replace theirs? What brand did you go with?
Note: few years ago dealer changed the other side while it was under warranty.
Thanks all

It might be just as easy and cheaper to have it welded, depending on how and where it's leaking. It seems like the only realistic replacement choice from what I have seen is the Pacesetter 750051/750050 manifolds, but their quality control is highly suspect.
We always hear lots of talk about people trying to install headers on the GX, but that defeats the purpose of having a truck engine. Switching to headers and/or bigger pipes would reduce the scavenging effect that helps these engines develop their low RPM power. So you are best off sticking with stock manifolds or aftermarket manifolds like the Pacesetters.
I noticed that Rockauto lists several different replacement manifolds, but I would consider that highly suspect. I've tried ordering from them on several occasions, and to date, I've never received an item that actually fit my vehicle. Their parts cross-reference is full of inaccurate information.
I researched this stuff after I bought my GX last month because I heard a tick coming from the driver's side. After looking on these forums, I just assumed it was a manifold leak because it's talked about so much. But after checking closely, I found that a mechanic forgot to tighten a spark plug (seriously), which also causes the same tick sound.
