Pardon my Lexus ignorance but can I just add one of those cheap $20 ebay double din dash instillation kits, the adapter harness and the deck/head-unit of choice? I have an 03 GX with the base stereo and no nav. All the different Lexus options seem to have me second guessing compared to when I did installs on my last Firebird WS.6 and Dodge 2500.

One thing I am not sure about is the factory controls also. If I am really opening a can of worms with this I may look into just adding an FM Modulator if anyone has experience with that I would like to hear that also.

I will not consider a FM Transmitter or Casette to MP3 player as I know the sound quality will be terrible.
