Trailer hitch
I'm buying a 2006 gx470 it has a round trailer wire sockets but no hitch - is it normal to have wiring with out a hitch ?
I do see some holes in middle of rear under car that look like they are for a hitch , is it possible to just get a hitch that fits these bolts and do it my self or is it more involved ??

It looks like this GX has the tow package (wiring, hitch and radiator cooler), but I think someone removed the "pintle" hitch. Google "gx470 pintle hitch" for images, you'll see what I mean.

Mine came that way - prewired, and had the transmission cooler, but no hitch.
It's not hard to add either the pintle hitch or the frame-mounted hitch.
If you go with the frame-mounted hitch, have some PBBlaster and an impact wrench to deal with that rust (you have to remove the tow loop seen to the left of the 7-pin connector). It'd also be a good idea to have a tap set to chase the threads of the mounting holes & clean them up.

I have a 2006 that is the same. You can get a easy bolt up hitch at southernstylespeed.com for $75, draw back is that they rate it at only 3500lbs. I have no connection to them.
Or you can get a tube hitch from a few different places.
