GX470 vs 460
I have a 470 on the way. 2006, 81K miles. I have not paid but it's on the way anyway. It arrives in a couple days. No obligation to buy it. Then today a 2010 shows up with 95,000 on it for 7500 more. I Kinda prefer the classic style of the 470. I know the basics about the 460 but not a lot about the type of air suspension, etc. I basically want a comfortable SUV for explore back country 4wd roads her in Colorado. I would never lift it more then 2" or so. Is the 2010 worth it? It's more money and more miles. I don't want a nightmare in repairs and the 470 seems more basic and the 460 more complicated. Am I just biased.

I agree with the styling comment - the 460 looks "bubbly" to me - needed stronger lines to reflect it's SUV-ness.
81k miles vs 95k miles is a wash -- just not that much difference. Make sure the timing belt service was done on the 95k one, or get a price adjustment for you having to do it.
The 2010 will have better navigation maps (my 2004 470 has had support dropped for map updates - just too old). And will have better Bluetooth support.

The engine's power and fuel economy will be better on the 460. I've never driven a GX460 though, so I can't say which I like better. They are both great SUV's and you'd be a happy owner either way I'm sure.

Drive both then sleep on it. Both are more or less comparable when it comes to reliability and capability. I wouldn't leverage the extra cash for the 460 personally but I dont know your finances.

The 460 was weird. The seat leather was HORRIBLE. Never seen a older Lexus with Leather that bad. It was perforated. I think that causes it to not wear as well. I will stay with 09 and older I think.

The GX470, on the other hand, feels soft and comfortable whereas a GS430 of nearly the same vintage also felt hard to me. /shrug. Could be just my problem but I have learned to really pay attention to the seats of any Toyota/Lexus with leather when I go for a test drive.
