Got my new dash today.
I have a 04 gx470 with 130,000 miles. I've had it 5 years. Dash was cracking and got the letter from Lexus saying they were going to warrenty it as a new vehicle. They installed my new dash today. Looks like a new car ( except for the mud on the tires and under the wheel wells).

Dash color?
What color is your interior? I had my dash replaced and noticed that thenew one is a good bit lighter in color than the rest of the interior trim. I have the tan seats with a brown dash.

I have dark gray seats and black dash. Mine looks like new vehicle now. Kinda made my kids mad cause they thought they were going to get the gx since it had a cracked dash.

What are the terms for the dash warranty?
I'm the original owner of a 2004 with around 110k miles. I don't have the cracking issue (yet) but I live in AZ and wonder if it's something I will have an issue with down the road.
Is it something they will all eventually have a problem with?
Does the replacement dash made up of different materials that are more resistant to cracking?
I'm fine with my current dash, it looks nearly new, but its obvious this was some sort of widespread defect. I just don't want to run into a situation where a few years later it starts to crumble and I have no coverage.

There is a time limit on the extended warranty (2017?). It's on the letter you should have received.
If you didn't get the letter, register your vehicle at https://secure.drivers.lexus.com/lexusdrivers/login so they know about you.

New dash is lighter.
Not only was the replacement dash lighter in color, they must have forgotten to reconnect the headlight sensor, because my auto headlight doesn't work.
