You can, but you'll obviously lose the dampening adjustability. If it's like my HDJ81 (and it very well may not be as the designs are 13-14 years apart), if you don't have all 4 shocks plugged into the wiring, the adjustable valving won't work.

So it is not possible one of the exhaust port on one side leaks instead of the bag?

anything is possible but if you find it sagging its likely the bag.

I had looked at it briefly, and judging from the pictures, it seems to have some pretty hardcore springs in the kit. I might give them a whirl!

Looks like both sides dropped a little bit in 3 days but one side being more
So even if I remain parked or not, the compressor is probably just running extra 15 seconds to replenish every few days
So I am going to continue using the bags for a little longer

Do they make a spring rate correct, progressive spring in any of these conversion kits?

Yes, you can run any shock you want, but as you know, you'll loose dampening control.

Here's my truck on FJ rear springs. They're much beefier than 4Runner springs and handle load much better.

Do you have even ride height with the fj springs?
I think one of my sensor is going bad as it is 3/4" difference from tire to fender (not to noticable and I had cars with 1/2" difference on springs ), I read the gx will use the remaining sensor to control both bags if one sensor is bad. Not sure if it would show any codes yet in that state?
I know you can adjust the senor but have not had anyone said they adjusted things perfectly.

I have even height with a full tank of gas. On an empty tank, it's a 1/2 inch difference from side to side. It also was the same when I had functioning bags as well.

If that's a problem for anyone considering this conversion, you can always use trim packers to level the truck down the road, not that you're on springs all around.

blackcat, do you have any spacers up front? can you measure from center of rear wheel to the fender trim so I can see compared to my current lift where it would sit. I think it looks good I will be grabbing some FJ springs and probably lowering my lift in the front a touch, just wondering if I need stock FJ rears or maybe 1-2"lift FJ rears, thanks.

Black cat what are those center caps you have?
I thought with those wheels you had the leave the center bore exposed showing the hub.
Also did you notice any ride being hashing going 17 to 18? That's the thing for me is I want a higher side wall for cushier ride

No front spacers. Rear sits at 23" from center hub to fender.

thats awesome, mine is at 23.25 inches right now but I leveled it with the front due to air ride compensating with a load, so I might swap out my front 2.5" spacer for a 2" spacer should be perfect then. thanks!

Nope, they come with center caps. I originally didn't use them, but put them on when I rotated the tires.
Nah, no difference in ride. I specifically chose a non light truck tire to keep the ride nice. The FJ springs are just temporary since the compressor went out after my road trip. The truck is getting a full Icon setup in the spring. I do a road trip every year and decided that I'm going to (attempt) a different trail in Moab every year I'm out there. I skipped all the light/easy trails and went straight intermediate in August. So it'll get harder and harder every year.
