Default Was the GX470 ever available in basic trim?

Did all GX470's come with air suspension (ride height control) or did some come with standard suspension?

Trying to get a 4Runner unless someone can tell me the GX can be bought in plain trim without all the air suspension BS?

They all came with rear air suspension. Converting the rear to springs is $250 plus the cost of the spring. Not a hard or expensive modification.

Thank you for the valuable info! Does removing the airbags trigger any CELs?

Just converted mine on Saturday. Check out the "what did you do to your GX today" thread. You have to pull the 50amp and 10amp fuses under the hood, then disconnect the ride height computer in the drivers kick panel. It's really easy. After everything's disconnected, no warning lights are on.

Awesome! Thank you.

Another question, the GX has no RWD mode like the 4Runner of that same year?

Correct. Same with the V8 4runner. The V6 4Runner did have a RWD mode.
