Default Installing Backup Camera on 2003 OEM Navi

Hello,
I have been a long time member of Club Lexus mainly interacting in the LS400 forum. But just recently purchased an 2004 (built Oct 2003) with the stock Navi and ML system. I wanted the backup camera option but ended up getting a good deal on this vehicle.

I know this question has been asked numerous times, but I could not find a clear answer to how difficult it is to add an aftermarket backup camera using the stock Navi screen.

Is this a plug n play installation where an aftermarket camera can be connected to the backside of the Navi unit by use of an adapter or is there a dedicated module for the backup camera system? I read their may be a dedicated module on the passenger side somewhere.

I also heard about using the Nav-tool as an option to feed video onto the stock Navi screen. Is there a good DIY on this forum if going down this route? Where can I find a good deal on the Nav-tool? Used to see group deals for these before.

Hope to hear anyone's thoughts on this subject as I have read many posts with similar questions with no response. Thanks in advance!
