Preparation for long trip?
Hey guys. I will be taking my GX on her first long journey, about 3000 miles round trip. I would love to hear some of the things you guys have done in preparation. My GX is an 07 with 95k miles.
90k mile service: 8 months ago
Timing belt / WP: 8 months ago
95k mile oil change: 2 weeks ago
Top off fluids: 2 weeks ago
Tire pressure at 35 psi
Brake rotors fairly new
Brake pads at 50%
$$$ for premium fuel
Anything else I'm missing? Thanks for all your input.

A few things I thought of:
- Registration and insurance paperwork in the car and current
- Spare H11 bulb in case you lose a HID bulb far from home.
- Lots and lots of music (or podcasts or audiobooks.)
- Trash bag for the car (I like on the center hump behind the console, lined with a grocery bag).
- Check wiper condition.
- Double check spare, toolkit, first aid kit.
- Box of tissues
- Change for tolls.
- A blanket (to cover luggage, or lie on under the car, or take a nap.)
- Quart of oil and some metric sockets - just in case
- Spare fuses, if you're going to be running accessories through the 12V ports
- Small flashlight

One thing I just remembered I should have done was update the GPS. Too late now as we're leaving in a few days. Thanks LexRex

Check - Lots and lots of music (or podcasts or audiobooks.)
Pandora ready - Trash bag for the car (I like this one on the center hump behind the console, lined with a grocery bag).
Check. I have a small cooler for drinks about 18" wide and fits snuggly on that hump - Check wiper condition.
Check - Double check spare, toolkit, first aid kit.
Spare checked/inflated. Tool kit/first aid kit courtesy of Mercedes Benz - Box of tissues
Roll of paper towel and wet wipes - Change for tolls.
Need some - A blanket (to cover luggage, or lie on under the car, or take a nap.)
Good idea - Quart of oil and some metric sockets - just in case
Didn't think of this but good idea - Spare fuses, if you're going to be running accessories through the 12V ports
Kids will charging iPhone/iPod for sure - Small flashlight
Check
