Try this: Disconnect the battery negative terminal, wait 2 minutes, then quickly reconnect it to ensure a minimum of sparks.

You'll have to reset the auto-windows, the seat memory, and the radio stations afterwards.

If you have navigation, does the voice come out of the driver's door speaker?

HEllo I'm new to the forum. I recently purchased the gx and I have no volume control. Everything else seems to work like the am/fm channel control. I ran a diagnostics check and everything is ok in blue. I've tried disconnecting the battery cable and checked the fuses. I've been reading about Amp issues. Could the amp be shot and the diagnostic check says it's ok. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

No volume, or no volume control?

Hello Chip. There is no volume and when I turn the volume **** on the radio the volume does not show going up or down. If I turn the channel ****, that show me changing the channel. Hope that makes sense.

There's a good chance the amp is bad. Check the fuse, then look into getting it repaired - there's a firm that advertises on eBay that does it.

Ok. Thanks Chip. Quick question. I read on another thread about when you disconnect the battery you have to reprogram the power windows. I can't open the windows from the drivers control. They work at each door. Is this something that needs to be reprogrammed. Thanks so much for the help.

If you disconnected the battery, you need to reprogram the windows, the sunroof, the memory seats and the radio presets. There is a sticky thread about how to do that.
