Find another dealer. The dealer on one side of town here wouldn't even take my name. The dealer on the other side of town replaced it in about 3-4 weeks.

She definitely said 2-3 years.

I have an appointment on Monday to get on the list and she assured me that I would get a dash as long as I was on the list prior to the deadline.

She explained they are one of or the largest Lexus dealers in the Southeast and they have a huge queue of cars to fix and they are only getting 2 shipments of new dashes per month.

I am gonna try a few other dealerships to see if they give me the same length of time.

If Lexus is allocating to dealers a couple of dashes each per month - yeah, find a smaller dealer.

Default Cracked dash

For further information about the Toyota/Lexus melting dashboards class-action lawsuit, contact the Ferraro Law Firm at www.ferrarolaw.com

Everyone stop waiting for Lexus to do the right thing. Join the class action. It doesn't cost you anything.

For anyone thinking about joining the class-action, ask the people at Ferraro what they expect the size of the pool (number of awardees) will be. And what their percentage will be for handling the case.

Why would I join? They gave me a free dash already.

What would the lawsuit pay out for? would it cover the cost of the dash replacement and cash on top? Lexus already said they will replace it, its just a matter of waiting.

We have 2008 GX and 2004 RX that have "been on the list" for new dashes over 16 months. My daughter's RX has chunks falling out of the dash. She was at Lexus yesterday and they told her another 3 - 4 months. We're in Austin, Texas.

Ask them if the Lakeway location has a shorter line (they're both owned by the same people)

I took my GX in for an inspection after thanksgiving 2015, Lexus Carlsbad, Ca. Been calling every other month and as of today I'm 5th in line but it all depends on what color dash is available. The young lady on the phone is pretty good about not committing to a date so I have little hope my color dash (lt brown) will come in before Trump moved into the White House.

I'm very disappointed and will write letters which will do no good.

My guess is Lexus has no reason to move things along since this is not a safety issue, the longer they drag their feet the less dashes they'll have to replace.

A week ago I talked to Scottsdale Lexus and was told that if you dash is not cracked before next May, the you are out of luck on this. As of now, mine is in good shape.

I registered mine at two different dealers in Texas got it after 6 months and now got call from the other dealer after 11 months that the dash is available for installation which I told them thanks I already got it done.

Lexus Orlando did a fantastic job! could not be happier. The new dash has breathed new life into the truck. Very happy I was fortunate enough to get this done.

Default Safety issues

Rockbus, please don't let them tell you it's not a safety issue. The dash cracks across the airbag section. I would push that issue. I would also put a complaint in with https://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/VehicleComplaint/.
