Warranty Enhancement - Cracked Dash Replacement!
#76
Damm !! that is definitely the worst cracks ever come across GX. I did not have patience so I bought mine and did the job. You guys are lucky to get this replacement, Finally Lexus has acknowledged it is defective material which has caused these cracks.
Even if you have small cracks do show them and have them entirely replaced, as you never when these come up.

2004 GX470 Suspension Issue
Mann-I know you are probably burnt out on answering gx suspension questions, but I have an issue with mine and being in South MS there are no Lexus dealerships within hrs.
A few months ago my wife took her car to a local Toyota dealership to get an oil change. They busted a airbag. Didn't tell us. We went back. They put a land cruiser airbag in. Several months have gone by and bouncy again. And the height control light was not there. The next morning I was taking it to get looked at and the height control was on and worked fine. Drove it all day. That evening ran it through local car wash and filled up with fuel. Started bouncing again. So my questions are:
1. Obviously the car wash is not good for the solenoid and do I need to replace it and can I do it myself?
2. Is this an extension of the Toyota dealerships mishap?
Thanks Jesse

Yes Jesse , they can be done provided you have all the tools in your garage. the job will take around 12 hours flat out. Have they acknowledged their fault, if it is dump, it on them to this job

I got my letter 2 days ago.
I'm the second owner of my 2007 ES 350, and when I bought the car 3 years ago I put 303 Aerospace protectant on the dash (and everything else in the car). I haven't noticed any film or cracks. I don't know what the prior owner may have done in detailing the interior, but it's in damn good shape so he must have been doing something.
But the button controls on my steering wheel are melted and sticky (was like that when I bought the car). I wish this warranty extension covered that, too!

Received paperwork from law firm handling class action on same day as letter from Lexus. Weird. Since I just paid for the new dash last year at a Lexus dealership, I will give them a chance to pay. Sent all appropriate paperwork registered.
Ferraro law firm in the waiting.

That's exact how mine looked. I Kept very good care of mine. I don't think the products used really in the end make a difference. There is a defect in the product.
My GX has always been garage keep.

After a bad experience with Armor All back in the 90's (cracked the steering wheel, the dash, the door cards...), I only use a damp cloth to clean the dash these days.
