Default 04 gx470 MASTER CYLINDER/BOOSTER

Need help i need a new or possible used master cylinder and booster and ideas where to get one, lexus wants 2078.00 for the whole unit??????

thanks I will check out ebay, I have it at the shop now, what happened was I was driving I got cut off slammed on the brakes and after that the pedal was extremely soft so I attempted to bleed the brakes my self rears are fine fluid flows, the front I cannot get a good flow the right side just spits a little it cant get a constant stream and nothing out of the left at all??????

There is a repair kit available for much less (under $100) if you or your mechanic knows how to rebuild them.

First you need to determine if all you need is a rebuild kit, which will get you new seals, o-rings, etc... that kind of thing. If a mechanical piece failed, this will not help.

Then, any autoparts store can get one for you- as can the dealership. Or you can order one on-line from places like amazon, rock-auto, etc.

The front brakes have to be done the old fashioned way, by pumping the brakes, holding them, and then cracking open the bleeder screw, then repeating the process. They don't flow automatically like the rears do.
