As for the advantages of going w/ OEM springs, I couldn't tell you since I'm not running them. I haven't seen anyone with a GX run them but there are 4Runner guys running them. Try and search around on some 4Runner sites and see what they say.
I have A GX rearspring conversion kit using OEM 4runner springs and isolators. I totally recommend it. I actually got rear springs from RockAuto for the 4runner and love them. The ride is perfect and I'll never have to mess with the ride height or leaky air bags

I'm going with 4Runner OEM shocks in the front and the strutmaster conversion in the rear. Will I need to pull a fuse somewhere to avoid error lights?

Has anyone done any towing with the conversion to springs? I was wondering if the rear of the truck sags much with a heavy trailer attached? I pull a 4,800lb trailer/car about once a month in the warm months.

Pulling those two fuses worked, thanks.

I was skeptical about making this change, but the ride is much improved. It actually takes bumps well and rides smooth. The rear is higher but I'm told it will settle over time.

ROSCOGX470, have you done any towing or had any weight in the back after using the 4runner springs?
