Why buy that when a OEM shock is cheaper?

I bought oem shocks and struts in a bundle. Yes I had the same issue with the bottom washer. Instead of a tapered punchi used a step drill bit. Worked like a charm.

Toyota uses several manufactures for shocks. KYB could be one of them.

Can someone please let me know if the part of this link would fit both side of my 2007 GX470? The rear passenger side start leaking now. Just wanted to double check before I place the order.

I have notice that the rear shocks have become very soft. I did pull something kinda heavy a few weeks afterwards. Don't know if I over stressed the shocks or the air bags. I might swap out the oem fir the bilsteins. Any ideas.

you can use any aftermarket FJ/4runner rear shock, I plan on installing my Icon VS2.0s, thanks for the write up, seems straight forward and at most a 30 minute job a side

oh one thing to keep in mind 07-09 fj compatible rear shocks work, the 2010 and up FJs had a different size mounting hole at the bottom of the shocks

Cut the top off or do what the member did on page 2 / post 26;

All you gotta do for the rear shocks is get a set of locking pliers and clamp on the top of the rear shock below the actual frame mount to keep the shock from rotating when loosening the top bolts, not need to cut it off.
