Default Door Weatherstripping

When I opened the driver's door of the GX this morning, there was a fresh pile of snow on the WeatherTech mat. Did some checking and found that the driver's side door weatherstrip has deformed at the bottom-front corner of the door, allowing blowing snow to enter. Winds tonight will be gusting to 40 MPH with lots of fluffy snow blowing around. I placed a wash cloth in the door frame at the problem area and closed the door on the cloth. Hope this keeps the snow out.

I gotta say, the LEXUS weather stripping looks awfully cheap. Would have expected something better. I'm going to be off-roading this vehicle and leaks like this are not acceptable.

Anybody else noticed this weatherstrip problem?

What's with the hate for the GXs on here? Ha ha!

Are you sure it's the original weather stripping? I would say mine is up to par with usual Toyota standards...

Definitely original stripping..
Yeah, I hate this vehicle. Hate it sooo much I'm gonna keep it 'til the
300,000 mile mark. Only 192,000 miles to go before I drive it into a rock quarry.
