New GX 470 owner
I recently bought a 2004 GX 470 with 89k miles. My dad did the 90k service like a champ and it runs very smoothly. However, I have recently noticed what I believe to be the brake master cylinder, which on a regular basis, has to keep compressing for about 4-6 seconds even while driving. We filled the fluid and it seemed to stop as I was pumping the brakes to test. But the next day it started again and the fluid is still at MAX level. Thoughts?

Yep happened to me.,. you will be needing a whole unit just like me, and dont wait till it dies as you will have very LITTLE brakes--very dangerous at the wrong time trust me. Get it replaced now.,

crap that sucks :-( I had it looked over from a professional and all was good except transfer case leak which I know is common and easy fix. Seems like things are popping up now. I looked on the internet and the master cylinder is around $1200?
Thanks, my dad took the whole thing apart and back together only looking at directions from the parts box once. Saved me lot of $$.
