aftermarket wheels with no tpms, but light didn't come on?
I have been driving for a month without tpms sensors in my new aftermarket wheels. To my surprise, the light hasn't come on. That was great because I didn't want to have to do the wiring bypass on the system. But now, it just came on. What's up with that? Is it possible that just my spare is low and if I check and fill it, it will go back off?

Where are your old wheels/tires? If they are close to where you park, the truck will pick up the sensors every morning, and pass the system check. It has to fail a couple times before the dash light will be triggered.

I put after market wheels with winter tires on last week.
Was planning to install the TPMS bypass switch but was surprised when the light did not come on.
The light does come on when I turn on the ignition and then goes out indicating the system is good.
My OEM wheels with sensors are in my basement, not close to where I park at all.
Will see if I have the same experience with the light coming on after a few weeks.

My old wheels/tires were in my basement as well, you'd be surprised the range those sensors have.

I removed my spare for about 3 weeks and it took a full week for the light to come on. If my tire pressure falls below the setting point it will come on almost immediately though. Weird to say the least.
