Default cost to refinish wheels

Has anyone paid to refinish their wheels? I know it's only cosmetic but I really don't want to see this anymore as it's just getting worse. What have you guys paid for this service from the dealership?

Definitely DON'T get this done at the dealership, it's not done in house. You can just find a local place that does this kind of work and skip the dealership's markup.

That being said, expect to pay somewhere in the range of $500 to have the 4 wheels refinished, and the tires remounted and balanced. If you can find it for less, you've found a good price.

For that price, you could be well on your way to a nice set of aftermarket wheels...

New or replaced it seems to only last 3 yrs. I had mine replaced by Lexus for free after they tried to get 2100.00 from me for 4 new rims. I had to really fight with them to have them replaced and not refinished. Even with them being replaced mine started to pit again 3 yrs later. I think there is a flaw with the rims.

Tacoma or FJ Cruiser rims seem to hold up better, that's what I'm looking for currently. Saw a set locally and didn't pull trigger and am kicking myself now.
