Default Rear air shock replacement instructional

I read all I could find and watched a few videos of the replacement but didn’t understand completely until I did it. Here is my take

remove spare wheel
jack truck up and place on stands in front of the rear suspension so as to suspend the entire rear suspension. Rear wheels should be off the ground.

The air shock has a metal clip fastener holding it up in frame. Remove via the wheel wells with long skinny pliers. It slides right out.

Locate small air air tank above axle on drivers side. You want to remove drivers side shock air line. Slide plastic retainer clip out of the way. Use a 1/4 fuel line removal tool and remove that air line. Basically squeeze and push the removal tool into the line end to release the two locking tabs. Removing this gives slack on the other end by the shock.

Lower driviers side shock shock down and use same tool to remove air line inlet on top of the shock. Reinstall new air shock same way.

Have somebody hold the shock up in its location and put met clip fastener back in via the wheel well.

Reinstall air air line at compressor that you removed earlier for slack.

Repeat on on passenger side same way. Although I did not need to remove the air line at the compressor for slack because there was plenty on that side.

Hope this this helps anybody in the future. It only took me and a friend 45 minutes.

dont really need to remove the spare wheel but im sure itll give you extra room. I was able to remove my rear bags without needing the remove it. Its essentially only held on by a clip and hose.
