Checking out the Grom unit, kinda like the idea. Question I have is, can I use it for both the USB input (for my phone) as well as aux in? Obviously, not at the same time but would be nice to have both.

Thanks.

The Grom USB module has separate connections for the Iphone cable (proprietary cable, not USB) and the USB cable, with another port to add Bluetooth if that's something you want as well.

I saw an Android module on their website. I have an Android phone and would love an aux in as well.

Thanks.

Ya, I think you just order the Android cable instead of the iphone cable, can't wait to get mine installed and try it out!

Did anybody manage to add an aux input to a non-navi GX?

How did you do it? It would be nice to get that info on this thread.

I haven't added it yet but received the GROM kit last week. Just haven't had time to attempt the install. It should do the trick.

What is the GROM kit? I just recently started looking into doing this. Can you point me to more info on this?

So the Grom units work with earlier 03-04 GXs?

I just installed the USA SPEC BT45-TOY Bluetooth interface on my 05 non-nav GX and I really like it. It also has an AUX input you can use, though I just use it for Bluetooth streaming and phone calls. Pretty easy installation as well.
