Just bought a 2005 with only 60,000 miles. FL vehicle with a lot of the service done at Lexus dealer. Nothing noted in records of tire replacement. All 5 tires are Dunlop Grandtrek 20. The spare appears to have no wear. The other 4 tires will need to be replaced later this year. Wondering if these could be the original tires? What brands were OEM for 2005? Can you tell from the sidewall how old a tire is? Thanks.

I picked up our '04 with 130,000kms this year, the previous owner told me they were still the original tires. They got replaced 1st thing. It's not a stretch to think yours could have the originals on them as well.

Thanks for the info on the sidewall dates. I will check that out.

Am I correct that the OEM tires in '05 were either Dunlop, BF Goodrich or Michelin ? What determined who got which tire from the factory?

I bought an 06 a few months ago and it still had the original Michelin's on it. Truck had about 70k miles on it and they are 65k mile tires. They definitely needed to be replaced, pretty sure they were originals.

I checked my sidewalls - they are dated late 2007. So, the Dunlop's are clearly are not the original tires. These must be the second set of tires.
